Will J Bailey is a London-based screen printer and oil painter whose narrative portraits depict animals, people, plants and various creatures somewhere in-between.
With a firm disregard for high/low art divisions, he draws on an assortment of diverse influences, from medieval and northern renaissance painting to alternative comics, pop art, kustom kulture, tattoo, graffiti and Victorian botanical illustration.
Exploring nature, English folklore, and film and music iconography (often weaving together all three), his style is crisp and precise, but bursting with energy, warmth and a playful sense of humour.
